Environment, Events

The Coast Guard Auxiliary in Green Cove Springs, in concert with the Clay County Sheriff’s Office, holds FREE Boating Safety Classes at its base of operations off State Rd 16E in the Reynolds Industrial Center, 910 Roland Avenue.

Classes are available either Saturday from 9:00AM to 4:00 PM or, due to considerable demand by the local recreational boating public, over two evening sessions from 6:00PM to 9:00 PM.  The course satisfies Florida’s mandatory requirement that a person who was born on or after January 1, 1988, operating a vessel powered by a motor of 10 horsepower or greater (including PWC’s), must have completed a boater education course approved by the National Association of State Boating Law Administrators (NASBLA) or passed an approved equivalency exam.  Those born before 1/1/1988 can also benefit from the valuable information imparted by the Auxiliary’s knowledgeable instructors.

The next available class opening is on Tuesday/Thursday, March 22nd & March 24th.  Email now to reserve your seat or obtain information on future class availability.
