The Northeast Florida Association of Realtors’ monthly indicators report showed that pending condo-townhouse sales in Northeast Florida were up 40.3  percent in February 2011 over the previous year and 45.7 percent in January 2011 as compared to January 2010.

Renda Broadcasting launched a new radio station in Jacksonville, Classic Rock 94.1 (WSOS-FM), replacing their Soft Adult Contemporary Station – Sunny 94.1

“We are very excited about this new direction for 94.1”, said Gary Spurgeon, General Manager of Renda Broadcasting of Jacksonville.  “All other radio groups in Jacksonville abandoned the Classic Rock format.  Classic Rock 94.1 WSOS, will ROCK the market with Classic Rock that Jacksonville is known for and grew-up on, Classic Rock from the 70’s and 80’s”.

Florida Agriculture Commissioner Cracks Down on Telemarketing Scams

Florida Agriculture Commissioner Adam Putnam continued his crackdown against unlicensed telemarketers last week, shutting down firms in several southwest Florida counties.

Investigators from the Department’s Division of Consumer Services, in partnership with the Department’s Office of Agricultural Law Enforcement, conducted inspections in Sarasota, Manatee, Hillsborough, Pinellas and Pasco counties.

Free Pancakes at Participating Perkins Restaurants 3/21 to Benefit Give Kids The World

On Monday, March 21, more than 420 Perkins Restaurant & Bakery locations will join together for a system-wide fundraiser benefitting Give Kids The World, a nonprofit organization that provides week-long vacations to children with life-threatening illnesses and their families at a fanciful, “storybook” retreat in Central Florida. Guests dining at participating restaurants on “Perkins Pancake Day” can enjoy a free shortstack of Perkins made-from-scratch buttermilk pancakes, expertly prepared using Perkins legendary recipe created and perfected more than 50 years ago.
