Like "Fighting Hunger Together"

Second Harvest North Florida has an opportunity to make a big dent in that need by participating in the “Fighting Hunger Together” program that Walmart is sponsoring. If Jacksonville finishes in the top 6, we will receive significant dollars, potentially $1 million, to gather and distribute more food. It will also move us closer to realizing our goal to end hunger in north Florida in the next five years!

"Dancing With The Stars" Julianne Hough Holds Benefit Concert for Children’s Miracle Network

99.9 Gator Country presents a benefit concert for Children’s Miracle Network featuring Mercury Records Nashville artists Julianne Hough and Randy Montana on Friday, December 17th at Mavericks at the Jacksonville Landing. Tickets are just $10 at the door and proceeds benefit the Children’s Miracle Network.

World AIDS Week will be observed in Northeast Florida from Nov. 29 - Dec. 4

The Northeast Florida World AIDS Week Committee has activities planned throughout the week in its continued quest to bring awareness to HIV/AIDS in Jacksonville and surrounding areas. Education Days, a quilt display, a Community Awards ceremony, and more will take place during the week.

O Little Town a Bethlehem Experience Proceeds to Benefit Homeless

Homelessness has made headlines with more and more families losing their housing in the wake of the current economic crisis.  That's why Orange Park United Methodist Church decided proceeds from this year's O Little Town Bethlehem experience will go to the Homeless Initiative of Clay County.

In Memory Of "Major Alan G. Roger's U.S. Army 4th ID"

Major Alan G. Roger's lost his life,at 40 years of age,fighting for our Country in Operation Iraqi Freedom. He was resident of Hampton,Bradford County,Florida he's is best decribed as the "most respected and loved soldier on his team" this soldier will be gone three years on January 27th 2011.May we remember him since he had no family except a cusin in Ocala,Fla during this holiday season.Thankyou Sincerely James & Jennifer Mitzel Founders of Hampton Veteran's Memorial Fund,Inc.
