Quigley House Claims to be Target of Donation Scheme
Crime

Quigley House, Clay County’s comprehensive domestic violence and sexual assault center has recently been the target of a donation scheme.

Quigley House would like to take this opportunity to clarify our donation criteria:  we never call individuals, nor do we solicit on line sites: i.e., Craigslist, to solicit donations following a garage sale; we gladly pick-up items only when asked.  Additionally, Quigley House has a donation truck with our logo that clearly identifies who we are on it, and, a donation receipt is always offered.

We urge you to please be cautious and if you receive a phone call from anyone identifying themselves from a charity and asking if they can have your garage sale left-over’s, please call that charity and ask if that person works there.

If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact Quigley House CEO Peggy Payne at (904) 284-0340.  If you would like to make a donation to the Quigley House Thrift Store, please call (904) 406-0885; to make a donation to the Quigley House shelter, please call (904) 284-0340.
