The Florida Division of Forestry in cooperation with the Clay County Division of Emergency Management is presenting How to Have a Firewise Home in three locations, including Thursday May 26, 2011, 6:30PM- 8:30PM at the Fleming Island Plantation Splash Park, 1510 Calming Waters Dr. Fleming Island, Tuesday, June 7, 2011, 6:00PM – 8:30PM at Keystone Heights City Hall, 555 S Lawrence Blvd (SR 21), Keystone Heights, and Thursday, June 9, 2011, 6:00PM – 8:30PM at the Clay County Agricultural Center, 2497 State Road 16 West, Green Cove Springs. The workshops will help homeowners learn how to best protect their homes from wildfire.  Everyone is welcome to come to these free workshops, and dinner will be provided.

Clay County Household Hazardous Waste and Electronics Amnesty Day, City of Keystone Heights Area

The Clay County Board of County Commissioners, the Department of Environmental Services and the City of Keystone Heights encourage all Clay County residents to participate in the 2011 Great American Cleanup Spring Household Hazardous Waste and Electronics Amnesty Day. Residents are asked to bring all household hazardous wastes including; paint, pesticides, pool chemicals, oil, anti-freeze, drain cleaners and paint thinner to the Clay County Health Department in Keystone Heights, April 23, 2011.
