September 11th First Responder Coming to WaterMark Church to Tell His Story of Survival
Events

Orlando Abreus responded directly to the World Trade Center South Tower to aid in Search and Rescue for the Jamaica Estates Volunteer Ambulance Corps. He was caught in the collapse of the South Tower, and was later caught in the collapse of the North Tower while searching for survivors of the South Tower collapse. He was transported by boat to Jersey City Medical Center where he was treated for injuries from falling debris and released later that evening.

Orlando will be at WaterMark Church for their September 11th Tribute Service starting at 10:25am with a moment of silence at 10:28am, the time of the North Tower’s collapse. The Lead Pastor, Tim Larson, will be interviewing Orlando about his experience on that day.

Orlando’s story has appeared on the Jenny Jones show and has not been told publically since 2011 at that appearance. Because of his friendship with the Lead Pastor, Orlando agreed to do this interview. Orlando was right next to the South Tower when it collapsed.

Orlando was spared serious injury because the location of the Marriott Vista Hotel shielded him and the numerous rescuers escaping from collapsing tower. However, the events leading up to the collapse, surviving after the collapse, and then the experience of the North Tower collapse are unbelievable. This is a story you do not want to miss.

WaterMark Church is a non-traditional style church that meets at Tynes Elementary School on Sundays. Tynes Elementary School is located at 1550 Tynes Blvd, Middleburg, FL 32068. For more information visit www.mywatermarkchurch.com or contact the Lead Pastor, Tim Larson.
