Middleburg Preacher to Jump Church Buses on Motorcycle

MIDDLEBURG, Fla. -- A motorcycle-based preacher will be jumping for Jesus over church buses in Clay County.

Aaron Ramsey, who has been jumping motorcycles since he was 15, will be taking his show to Calvary Baptist church on Long Bay Road.

Ramsey, 45, said he's happy to perform as long as he's also allowed to preach the gospel.

He's been described as "part Billy Graham, part Evel Knievel."

According to Calvary's pastor, Ken Pledger, Ramsey performs more than a dozen shows a year, drawing up to 30,000 people, though he's performed before as few as 30.

Saturday, April 9, from 4 to 7 p.m., Ramsey will be performing several jumps, including one through a ring of fire.

Starting at 11 a.m. Sunday, he'll preach and make his jump over nine church buses.

Much like the man for whom he testifies, Ramsey is in the construction business when he's not preaching.
