MIDDLEBURG, Fla. -- Hundreds of people, perhaps thousands, lined the streets of Clay County to honor Det. David White.

His funeral at Middleburg First Baptist Church lasted about an hour, then a funeral procession left. Along Blanding Blvd., some people held flags, everyone standing at attention.

White was shot and killed while investigating a meth lab last Thursday in Middleburg.

The procession was miles long, with deputies and police officers from across Florida attending.
