Middleburg football camp will go on as scheduled
News

MIDDLEBURG, Fla. -- The 6th Annual Faith Football Camp at Middleburg High School will go on as scheduled despite Debby bringing heavy rains to the area.

Camp organizers said they were prepared from the beginning to hold the camp come rain or shine.

Now that there is more shine than rain the camp will definitely go on as planned.

The fields are drying and a Red Cross shelter set up in the school's cafeteria has been closed, which means campers can eat dinner as in years past.

Between 100 -150 young football players will take part in two days of skills and drills.  The football players range from grades two through seven.  The camp is put on annually as a fundraiser for the Middleburg High School football team.

The camp will also have NFL players to meet and coach the camp participants.

Sign-in/registration for the camp begins at 4 p.m. in the Middleburg High School field house.  Camp activities begin at 5 p.m. on the practice field behind the tennis courts.  The address for Middleburg High School is 3750 County Road 220.

If you have questions, you can call the Middleburg High School front office at 904-213-2100.  Walk-ups are welcome at the camp.
