Flying High: New Trapeze School in Middleburg | SLIDESHOW

MIDDLEBURG, Fla. -- It's only been there for a month, but the contraption Mark Dill has built in an empty Middleburg lot looks like it belongs in a "which one of these is not like the other" game.

"Yeah, I have people come up to me and say they thought the circus was coming to town," Dill said. "So I had to explain we're just a trapeze school."

The trapeze set-up gets some strange looks as it seems to tower out of nowhere off College Avenue and U.S. Highway 220.

But Dill is fine with folks staring. "Yeah, we get that a lot. Matter of fact that red van over there just pulled in to watch what we're doing."

He's been involved some way or another with the art of trapeze for 25 years. Plus he's got a staff of experienced flyers from all over the country that have come to Middleburg to teach anyone interested.

"We've had 2-year-olds and we've had 85-year-olds," Dill said.

And all that's required is an ability to hang. "If you can hang from a bar for 30 seconds you can do it."
