Friday, March 16th , 2012 9am to Noon The Clay County Sheriff’s Office and Shred-it will provide a FREE opportunity for citizens to beat identity theft!

 Directly across the street from the Orange Park Kennel Club in the overflow parking lot (next to McDonalds). It is located near 455 Park Ave, Orange Park (intersection of Park Ave. and Wells Road). Volunteers from the organizing agencies will be on hand to assist the public. Community “Shred Days” are a part of Shred-it’s commitment to identity theft prevention. What items should people bring to shred?:
  • Old bank statements
  • credit card offers
  • cancelled checks
  • old medical records
  • pay check stubs
  • anything that contains your personal information that you don’t want a crook or thief to obtain.
 How much can people bring?Each person is welcome to bring up to three (3) standard boxes (size 12 x 10.5 x 15 for example) full of confidential material. What items are not accepted?
  • Trash
  • pop cans
  • newspapers
  • anything with a lot of metal.
